The second and third graders at St. Louis School threw a welcome home party for the military soldiers, stationed in Afghanistan, whom they had been corresponding with last school year. To keep Mr. Mark and his troop’s spirits high, the students sent holiday art work, letters and daily prayers their way all year long. Everyone was thrilled to hear, on the first day of school this past fall that Mr. Mark Sundbury and fellow soldiers had safely returned home in late July. To celebrate Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving Day, the students threw a “Welcome Home Party” on November 9, 2012 to recognize their safe return, and honor their unselfish dedication and sacrifice.
